Surrounded by the beauty of open skies and serene landscapes, Witgat Retreat is a nature-inspired venue designed for unforgettable gatherings. Whether you're planning a wedding, retreat, or special event, our outdoor spaces offer a peaceful escape where you and your guests can connect, celebrate, and create lasting memories in harmony with nature.

We supply exclusive access to the venue for your entire event; The farmhouse venue is booked as a whole unit per day. The venue is self-catering, with a spacious, fully equipped kitchen and wash-up area for your convenience. Guests can enjoy an outdoor braai and entertainment area at the lapa, plus a swimming pool for relaxation.

The farmhouse consists of a large living room, a cozy furnace for cooler months, and water cooler system for the summer. A spacious dining area seats up to 10 people, ideal for shared meals. Entertainment options include an outdoor TV and speakers for music, with a large lapa & swimming pool. Wi-Fi and internet access is available, although connectivity may vary due to the natural setting.

All rooms feature 220V power, lighting, and free-standing floor fans, with private bathrooms including a shower, washbasin, and toilet. Daily cleaning of all areas is included. Guests can also enjoy game viewing at the nearby waterhole, walking trails, bicycle rides, and self-drive game drives.

The Farmhouse

The Farmhouse, lapa, swimming pool are for birthdays and events to accommodate a max of 20 – 25 people.

The venue charge is N$10 000 a day and it includes:

  • Accommodation 5 double rooms (10 people)
  • Extra space for 2 tents (4 people)
  • Campsite taking a max of 8 people
  • Self-drive Sunset & Game Drives on designated roads on the farm

THE FARMHOUSE VENUE – TERMS & CONDITIONS

Venue Access & Use
  • We supply exclusive access to the venue for your entire event (usually for an entire weekend).

  • All venue spaces are available: Main house, kitchens, swimming pool, camping facilities, picnic spots, and game drives.

  • Guests may explore the property with walking and biking trails.

  • The Farmhouse Venue can accommodate a maximum of 20–25 people.

  • Farmhouse: Sleeps up to 10 adults.

  • Sable Camp Site: Sleeps up to 8 people.

  • Additional accommodation available on nearby farmsteads (details provided on request).

  • We provide a kitchen, cooling room facilities, and work areas for caterers.

  • Basic utensils and catering equipment are available.

  • Not provided: Cutlery, crockery, tables, seating, or additional catering equipment – please ensure caterers bring all required items.

  • Bar facilities: sufficient cooling space available for ice, beer, and drinks.

  • No pets allowed by guests, clients, or service providers.
  • No décor services provided – the venue does not assist with décor setup, removal, or storage.
  • All venue-owned items must be returned cleaned and in the same condition as received.
  • No candles or open flames in surrounding fields/open spaces (fire hazard).
  • We do not supply electrical leads, multi-plugs, or additional equipment.
  • Guests must keep the property clean: dispose of plastics, bottles, cans, cigarette buds, and garbage responsibly.
  • No catering services provided – all service providers must bring adequate staff to perform their duties.
  • Please do not give instructions directly to employees without consulting management.

  • A date is only reserved once the deposit and signed agreement have been received.
  • Refund & Cancellation Policy:
    • 100% refundable up to 30 days prior to arrival.

    • 50% refundable up to 14 days prior to arrival.

    • No refund less than 14 days before the event.

Wedding & Events Venue

The Barn

2000ha of land exclusively available for weddings and events accommodating up to 80 people.

The venue charge is:

  • N$45 000 (60 – 80 people)

  • N$25 000 (30 – 50 people)

  • N$ 20 000. Venue only, no accommodation.

This includes:

Exclusive access to the entire venue for a weekend or 2 consecutive days.

Accommodation (self-catering):

  • Farmhouse (10 people, plus 2 tents for 4–6 people)
  • Sable Campsite (8–10 people)
  • Total onsite accommodation: 22–24 people

The Barn Venue – Terms & Conditions

Venue Access & Use
  • We supply exclusive access to the venue for your entire event, which is usually for an entire weekend (Friday 11h00 until Sunday 15h00) or two consecutive days.

  • All venue spaces are available to you and your guests: The Barn, The Farmhouse, kitchens, cooler room, swimming pool, Sable Campsite, game drives, picnic spots, walking and biking trails, and more.

  • For the wedding ceremony, 2000ha is available to say your vows at any special spot you choose.

  • The event can accommodate a maximum of 80 people.

  • Farmhouse: Sleeps 10 people (with option to add 2 tents for 4–6 more).

  • Sable Campsite: Sleeps 8–10 people.

  • Maximum on-site accommodation: 22–24 people.

  • We do not provide catering services or catering equipment. Caterers must bring all required items (cutlery, crockery, tables, seating, etc.).

  • Facilities provided:

    • At The Barn: Urn, gas stove & oven, gas frying top, microwave, fridges, freezer, wine cooler, cooler room.

    • At The Farmhouse: Only basic kitchen utensils & catering equipment.

  • Additional rental: Electrical Spitbraai – N$4000/day.

  • Nampower 220V electricity is available 24/7, with generator backup.

  • No pets are allowed by guests, clients, service providers, or any other party.

  • No décor service is provided; the venue does not assist with setup/removal or storage of décor.

  • All items owned by the venue must be returned cleaned and in the same condition as received.

  • No candles or open flames may be placed in fields or open spaces (fire hazard).

  • We do not provide electrical leads, multi-plugs, or extra equipment. Please bring your own.

  • Keep the property clean: dispose of plastics, paper, cigarette buds, bottles, cans, and garbage responsibly.

  • No restaurant facilities are available; guests may bring food for a picnic or bring-and-braai.

  • Bar facilities: Cooling space available for ice, beer, and drinks.

  • Please do not give instructions to staff without consulting management.

  • Rates (including VAT):

    • 60–80 People: N$45,000 (incl. accommodation, use of items, camping, venue)

    • 30–50 People: N$25,000 (incl. same as above)

  • Refundable deposit: N$6,000 payable within 1 week after departure (if venue left in good order).

  • Booking is confirmed only upon receipt of signed agreement & deposit.

  • 100% refundable up to 30 days prior to arrival.
